About Taylor Westfall

Personal Dance Trainer

Taylor Westfall began dancing as a lot of guys do, trying to impress a girl. The unusual part of his story is that Taylor recognized that dancing might be a good life skill to have as a teen. Not many guys start learning to dance that young.  Taylor initially started with the country/western style; and as his interest grew he quickly got into other styles such as ballroom and latin.

Taylor's interest in ballroom and latin grew, and he decided to take his dancing to a new level by dancing at an amateur ballroom competition. He was hooked. As a kid he was interested in sports and was a blackbelt in Tai Kwon Do. Now an adult he could go out dancing and feel comfortable in any social situation, and also fulfill that competitive spirit he had.

Taylor decided to make teaching and dancing his career. He now has been teaching for over 10 years and has trained with some of the industry's best. Including Felipe Telona, Carolina Orlovsky, Yulia and Riccardo, Giacomo Agrello, Bryan Watson & Carmen, Tony Meredith, and Bill Sparks.  Other major influences have included Richard and Jennifer Booth, and Jim Maranto.  Taylor is certified by the US Imperial Society of Teachers in American and International styles. He teaches all levels from the very 1st lesson ever to the advanced dancer. You can learn any of the ballroom, latin, or swing dances for weddings, social dances, or competition.

In a very short time Taylor has became one of Colorado's most sought after instructors. For both social and competitive students his students always remark on how much of an impact he has made on their lives.  Taylor has won Colorado's Top Teacher Award 5 times, and been in the Top 10 teachers nationally in the Global Dancesport Circuit.
