We are happy to be offering our Ballroom Dance Day workshop event once more for 2025.

You will have a great time with our workshop instructors, professionals with years of knowledge and experience teaching all levels. We are especially excited to have Ms. Toni Redpath returning this year, back by popular demand, as our out of state guest instructor.

Intermediate Schedule

Expand your ballroom knowledge with variations, techniques, and style. This is not a beginner class, you should have knowledge of the basics.

10am: Intermediate Tango with Maya Buirgy

11am: Intermediate Rhythm & Latin (style & Techniques) with Italo Elgueta

12pm: Lunch Break

1pm: Intermediate Foxtrot with Toni Redpath

2pm: Intermediate Waltz with Toni Redpath

Professional/Instructor Schedule

They have over 50 years of combined teaching experience and love sharing their passion for ballroom dancing with the Colorado ballroom dance community. Location

The Denver Turnverein is a historical ballroom built in the 1920's. It has one of the largest ballroom dance floors in the state, and has an additional lower level ballroom. Located at Clarkson & 16th St in Denver. It has its own parking lot which is free for those attending events. This dance & cultural center holds a variety of dance events 7 days a week.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Wear comfortable clothes you can easily move in. If you are new to ballroom dancing wear shoes that stay on your feet, that you can easily do the twist in on your kitchen floor without any resistance. For experienced dancers wear your ballroom or practice shoes.

Q: I am brand new to ballroom dancing, but have been dancing other styles for years, should I attend the beginner classes or the intermediate level?

A: The beginner class is recommended as it will give you a solid foundation to allow you to dance comfortably and allow you to continue to build on the Ballroom dances in the future.

Q: Do I need a partner?

A: You DO NOT need a partner to attend any of the classes. We welcome singles and couples.

Q: Do I have to change partners if I come with a partner?

A: We do not require switching partners. We do recommend you try switching partners, often trying a step with someone else helps you understand it better, making it easier when you switch back to your regular partner. But it is not required.

Q: What will be served during lunch?

A: We will be offering a light lunch with delicious sandwiches, green salad with 2 choices of dressing, fresh fruit, cookies, and beverages.

Q: I have food allergies and sensitivities; can I bring my own food?

A: Yes, you can bring your own food to the lunch. Exception, no alcohol can be brought on the premises.

Q: Can I purchase tickets at the door?

A: Yes, you can purchase tickets both online and at the door. Pre-purchasing your tickets online will save money. There is potential for a class to sell out, the only way to guarantee your spot in a class is to pre-register.

Q: If I can't make it, can I get a refund?

A: Unfortunately, as a special event we are unable to refund tickets if you are unable to attend. You can resell your ticket or transfer to someone else, they will need your confirmation email and e-ticket to get in.
